KG-TOWERŪ Software Made Easy
KG-TOWERŪ Tray and Packing Hydraulic Rating software allows customers to do hydraulic
calculations for Koch-Glitsch trays and packing using the same equations used by
Koch-Glitsch engineers. PRO/II process simulation software can be used to perform rigorous
distillation, absorption and stripping calculations. Both applications give customers the
ability to do calculations quickly and easily; but getting the data from PRO/II to
KG-TOWER software can be a time-consuming manual process. Now KG-TOWER rating software
and PRO/II software have been integrated with a free utility created by Koch-Glitsch. The
utility converts PRO/II tower hydraulic information to a file that can be read by KG-TOWER
software. The integration between KG-TOWER software and PRO/II eliminates the need for
manual transfer of data, which allows the customer to do a large number of calculations in
a very short time and removes the risk of data transfer errors.
In addition, the customer does not have to leave the PRO/II environment to do
calculations in KG-TOWER software. The utility launches from the PRO/II menu. Using the
utility, customers can view column liquid and vapor loads, select the stages that need to
be studied in the KG-TOWER software, and start KG-TOWER software.
An updated utility is available for use with KG-TOWERŪ software version 3.2.
